| Video Discription | Kayaking down the Chicago River for a tour of its architecture is one of our favorite paddles to do anywhere and our favorite in a major city. It was simply serene to kayak from nearby Goose Island to Navy Pier and then back with pretty much no boat traffic. You just can't beat the views of the various buildings (Wrigley, Nuveen, Chicago Architectural Center), the cool bridges, or all of the towers and condominiums as you cut east towards Lake Michigan. This is also a great kayak to do at night when they set off the fireworks at Navy Pier. Also, did you know that if your phone is 100% waterproof and that you don't attach it to a lanyard or secure it in a dry bag and then drop it in the Chicago River that it doesn't float? Yeah, now we know. At least it's still waterproof, right? Special thanks to Kayak Chicago for the hospitality in letting me park and launch at their location and the great conversation afterwards.
