India’s maiden solar mission, Aditya-L1 successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota,” the ministry of science and technology said in a statement after the launch. This space-based solar probe aims to study solar winds, which can cause disturbance on Earth commonly seen as auroras.
