Today I'm showing you an interesting, very simple, yummy and healthy recipe...that is Chalimdi. Chalimidi is a traditional sweet dish made with Rice Flour and Jaggery. It is traditionally made for all festivals and important occasions in the life of a married woman like baby showers, etc. It is also made whenever daughters visit their mother's house. It is and easy dish to make and with very simple ingredients like Rice Flour, Jaggery, Dry Coconut, etc. It is a very tasty yet simple recipe, so easy to prepare and can be done in 10-15 mins. So, I'm showing you here how to make it at home in a healthier way with simple ingredients and tips and tricks to get the perfect texture. Subscribe to my channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuwiRUSQm_HMlV56VELuKDQ Follow me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Arunas-Classics Follow me on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/arunapaturu Ingredients: 1 Cup Rice Flour 3/4th Cup Grated Jaggery 2 Tbsp Chopped Dry Coconut/Copra Pieces 3 Tbsp Ghee 1/2 Tsp Elaichi Powder Cashew Nuts Recipe: Take a thick base pan and let it heat Add 1 Tbsp Ghee and let it melt Now add 2 Tbsp Chopped Dry Coconut/Copra Pieces and fry until it turns into light red/brown color Transfer the fried dry coconut pieces into a cup and keep it aside Now to the same pan add 3/4th Cup Grated Jaggery and 1/4th cup water and cook on medium heat Keep stirring occasionally until the syrup thickens and reaches 1 string consistency Now add 1 Cup Rice Flour to the Jaggery Syrup and mix thoroughly Add 1/2 Tsp Elaichi Powder Also, add remaining Ghee and mix thoroughly Switch off the stove and add the fried dry coconut pieces and mix well Take a serving bowl and grease it with ghee Transfer the mixture onto the greased bowl Finally Garnish with some chopped Cashew Nuts That's it Delicious and Healthy Chalimidi is ready!! |
