| Video Discription | The cuttings, in the plant breeding process designed to meet the highest pharmaceutical requirements, are cut from the mother plant and then freed from excess leaf material so that they do not lose all their moisture too quickly and wilt. Before the cuttings, also called clones because they all have identical genetic makeup, are placed in small plugs made of rockwool or coconut fibre, their stems are again scored with a sterile blade and dipped in rooting hormone. Within 3 - 5 days, the cutting forms a so-called callus at the cut through intensive cell division and later its roots at this swelling. After 14 days, it should be fully rooted and is ready as an independent plant to be transplanted into the next larger medium, usually a pot. The next step within the cultivation process is the growing stage. Unlike seedlings, cuttings have the great advantage of carrying the exact same characteristics as the mother plant. Cannabis varieties are selected for their growth structure, resistance to mold, stress tolerance and flower structure. __________________ Die Stecklinge werden, bei dem auf höchste pharmazeutische Anforderungen ausgelegten Pflanzenzucht-Prozess, von der Mutterpflanze geschnitten und danach von überschüssigem Blattmaterial befreit, damit sie nicht zu schnell ihre ganze Feuchtigkeit verlieren und welken. Bevor die Stecklinge, die man auch als Klone bezeichnet, weil sie alle die identische genetische Ausstattung besitzen, in kleine Plugs aus Steinwolle oder Kokosnussfasern gesetzt werden, wird ihr Stängel nochmal mit einer sterilen Klinge angeritzt und in Bewurzelungshormon getaucht. Innerhalb von 3 – 5 Tagen bildet der Steckling an der Schnittstelle durch intensive Zellteilung einen sogenannten Kallus und später an dieser Schwellung seine Wurzeln aus. Nach 14 Tagen sollte er voll angewurzelt sein und ist als eigenständige Pflanze bereit, in das nächstgrößere Medium, meistens ein Topf, umgepflanzt zu werden. Der nächste Schritt innerhalb des Kultivierungsprozesses ist die Wachstumsphase. Im Gegensatz zu Sämlingen haben Stecklinge den großen Vorteil, die exakt gleichen Eigenschaften wie die Mutterpflanze zu tragen. Ausgewählt werden Cannabissorten nach ihrer Wuchsstruktur, Resistenz gegenüber Schimmel, Stresstoleranz und Blütestruktur. |
