Home gardeners seek to emulate industrial agriculture practices in their garden. Why? Industrial agriculture has to make concessions in order to allow few people to tend massive acreages, and drive giant machines for harvest. We should not be seeking to mimic that in a home garden. The moment we do, we give up our biggest advantages. Yes, we home gardeners can have MASSIVE advantage over industrial agriculture.
