A little harsh, but also somewhat smooth. Pepper zing finish. Retro-Hale pungent sweet peppery Toffee candy. 1/3: Cotton mouth filled smoke. Pretty full in flavor. Nutty and still spicy. Long spicy finish. Retro-Hale pungent cedar. 2/3: Spicy dropped. Creamy sweet nuts. More smooth and oily. Not a topical Connecticut blend. Earthy and nutty finish. Retro-Hale still pretty pungent with some floral flavors. 3/3: Much smooth now. Oily earthy and semi sweet. The ash still holding fine. Sweet cream finish. Retro-Hale sweet nutty cedar little pungent. Overall: A good cigar. Full body, mild strength. Razor sharp burn. Ash never falls off, more than 4 inches long. Tons of smoke output. Just a little too pungent on the Retro-Hale for a Connecticut blend. I rate this 4.9/5.0. |
