Considering we were in the pandemic and everything was out of stock I decided I’d just go to the source and buy all my furniture direct from Chinese factories. I found several solid factories that had modern home furnishings such as couches, beds, tables (coffee night stand side etc), also custom hand made rugs, curtains, beds, artwork, bedding and sheets. 1 Sectional Sofa = $1297 1 Love Seat = $413 4 Lounge Chairs = $422 3 Wool Hand Tuft Rugs = $2187 2 Beds = $862 7 Nightstands/Sidetables = $586 1 Coffee Table = $162 1 Coat Rack = $88 1 Foot Stool= $44 4 Barstools = $436 Freight & Duty: $3194 Local Delivery: $250 TOTAL = $9,941 (Hope I added It up correctly 😜) It’s def a bit of extra work and out of the norm but once you are comfortable can save a lot. There are tons of factories over there which you can find through alibaba to buy anyting you can Imagine. Start by finding stuff you like and chat with them In the app to vet them out and ask for their catalog.. can even ask them to send videos or FaceTime to make sure it’s a factory. Shipping can be intimidating at first but isn’t that bad. I’d recommend asking the factory if they recommend someone for shipping or if they can manage It door-to-door… I have someone who is good at consolidating small hauls like this in China and shipping it here (Minneapolis). Then I used a local moving company to take it from MSP port all the way INTO my condo You can search these suppliers easily— Couches, chairs, coffee and side tables, nightstands from Ms carmen at Foshan Wanjiang Furniture CO.,LTD aka GENTLE— they have a lot of cool modern stuff, and a nice catalog. Custom wool rugs from Cynthia Carpet Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (can choose any design and they hand make them) Bedframes Foshan Baihai Furniture Co., Ltd. (kinda meh, but cheap) Linen sheets I found someone on AliExpress.. kinda meh Some other random stuff from Facebook marketplace (record player, Herman Miller chairs) Made the live edge bench myself Stools crate and barrel 👌👌👌 |
