It was introduced in Munich in April 2008, and is powered by a 999 cc (61.0 cu in) four-cylinder engine redlined at 14,200 rpm. BMW made 1,000 S1000RRs in 2009 to satisfy World Superbike homologation requirements, but expanded production for commercial sale of the bike in 2010. It has a standard anti-lock braking system, with an optional electronic traction control. As of 2016, it has a wet weight of 204 kg and produces 148.4 kW at 13,500 rpm. With 133.6 kW to the rear wheel, it was the most powerful motorcycle in the class on the dyno. 2020 Kawasaki Ninja H2R- The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja H2R hypersport motorcycle is the world's most powerful supercharged hypersport closed-course motorcycle. Kawasaki Ninja H2R – Built Beyond Belief Kawasaki made motorcycle history back in 2015 with the launch of the outstanding H2R. This all new model was developed as a demonstration of the excellence of engineering that lays within the walls of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. The H2R is the most powerful production motorcycle ever made with a staggering 326BHP. How? – Supercharging. The power comes from a supercharged 998cc in line four cylinder engine. The supercharger is built completely in house by Kawasaki. This is a world first in the production motorcycle world. Being supercharged as opposed to turbo charged gives far greater control over power delivery as the power is spread across the rev range. A turbo charger offers great power increases but generally comes in at around 3,000 rpm and often has a lag in delivery. Progressive power boosting aids traction control enormously. |
