You have given endless joy to me and I will eternally be grateful to you for giving birth to my son. There is no better joy for a man than to see his beautiful wife bring along a cutie pie from another dimension of existence. You are really one hell of a strong woman and I absolutely admire your courage! It was really a challenge enduring an almost 40 hours of labor, with all the screaming and crying, if it was me I probably would have given up. But no, you even strive more and the perseverance was way beyond expectation. I was merely a spectator and a cheerleader by your side, I may never experience your struggles and pains but seeing you getting through it, I cherish the love you poured to have this angel. I now appreciate you even more and I am so proud to have you as my wife. To my son: Words cannot describe the emotions I felt when I first saw you. You put up a good fight, gave us a fright and got us worried. We know it was not easy for you as well, but it was indeed a good run. Finding the words to express how I feel about you is not easy. Let me start by saying how perfect you are! I could spend every second smelling your baby scent, touching your tiny hands and feet, and stroking your fragile face. Every time I look at you my heart aches with happiness, how the little things in life that mattered don’t mean a thing to me anymore. Sometimes I don’t really know what I am doing, but I promise to always try my best. I promise to always put you first – forgive me when I fail! I promise to do my best to keep you safe. I promise to always make you smile. And when there are tears instead, I promise to be the one to wipe them away and comfort you. I will be the one to cuddle you when you feel scared, to hold your hand when you feel sick, to read just one more book to you when you can’t fall asleep. I will watch you take your first steps, hear you speak your first words, be there on your first day of school. And, when it’s time to let you go, I will be the one to wave goodbye, and to watch you become a man. And always remember this, you have been loved since from the start.
