| Video Discription | Sheet Music → https://mymusic.st/animenzzz/51536 Joe Hisaishi is one of my favorite composers and his contribution to the world of Anime Music is nothing short but legendary. I have listened to almost every soundtrack from all the Ghibli movies and I decided to play 6 of my favorite Ghibli songs in one continuous piano movement. The main goal of this medley is to create a otherworldly atmosphere and make each transition between the songs as smooth as possible. Compared to my usual arrangements, I tried to focus more on the melody this time and left out exaggerated embellishments, only adding an additional side melody if it complements the overall musical texture very well. I am still experimenting how to play multiple melody voices on the piano without sounding too cluttered. On a side note, I am also very happy to hear that Hayao Miyazaki has took back his plans regarding his retirement and decided to continue producing new movies for Ghibli! I am definitely looking forward to his next movie! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed the piano music.
