I currently have 0 Qatar Avios in my account and it works for me and several of my friends. I am looking into the reason for this. In the meantime if you are not able to search for award availability on Qatar's website, I recommend using British Airways website or the American Air's website to find availability before you transfer your points to British Airways. The easiest way to book business class flights to the Maldives is using British Airways Avios. It's not the cheapest but it is the easiest. It's the easiest because Chase, Amex and Capital One Miles transfers to British Airways Avios at a 1:1 ratio. From the U.S. to the Maldives its 85,000 points and somewhere between $200-$300 in taxes and fees each way. The overall process is to: 1. Find availability on Qatar's website 2. Transfer Chase, Amex or Capital One Miles to British Airways Avios 3. Covert the British Airways Avios to Qatar Avios 4.
