| Video Discription | #diabetesfriendlyavalpayasam #avaoatssagopayasam #lactosefreepayasam #sugarfreepayasam DIABETES FRIENDLY AVAL PAYASAM / AVAL OATS SAGO PAYASAM/ LACTOSE FREE PAYASAM / SUGAR FREE PAYASAM INGREDIENTS Aval(rice flakes) 1 and a half cups Oats 2 tbsp Sago 2tbsp, Xylitol 1 cup For diabeic patients(otherwise use normal sugar) available on amazon India online Milk (lactose freemilk for people with milk allergies otherwise use normal milk) Ghee 3 tbsp Cardamom and cumin powder half tsp each Cashew nuts and raisins Method 1. Powder oats set aside and soak sago in water for 30 minutes minimum. 2. Heat pan add 1tbsp ghee. 3. When ghee melts add rice flakes (aval) , fry aval to a light brown colour, until it becomes easily breakable. Add powdered oats and just fry for another two minutes on low fire. (oats releses sugar slowly to blood) 4. Add warm milk in to the pot followed by sago. 5. Mix weel, stir all the time and cook using medium heat. It cooks fast and also thickens fast. Off the stove. 6. Add xylitol (or sugar ) , cardamom, geera powder, mix well. Add fried raisins and nuts. |
