It needs to charge for approximately 5 hours to condition the battery. Do not charge it in your car or leave it plugged in overnight. Secret #2: Season the chamber by taking the mouthpiece off of the unit and turn it on and let it cycle through the entire heat cycle. Do this 5 times. Secret #3: Use a coarse grind on the flower and do not overpack the chamber. Only fill the chamber about 3/4 full. This allows the air to flow through the flower to roast it more evenly. Optional: If you want to have an easier draw remove the ceramic filter from the mouthpiece. But if you want a smoother taste with less smoke and more gentle on your throat, leave the ceramic filter in, but be prepared to pull a little harder.
