| Video Discription | 78-year-old male patient (BMI 27 kg/m2) presented with Adenocarcinoma of the ascending colon. CT imaging did not reveal distant metastases. Endoscopic tattooing had been performed because the endoscopist was not certain of the proximity of the tumor to the hepatic flexure. An ArtiSential assisted right colectomy with CME was perfomed using the ArtiSential monopolar scissors and the ArtiSential bipolar forceps (LIVSMED, Republic of Korea). An uncinate-process-first-approach was implemented The mesocolon and the greater omentum were transected using the Enseal G2 Articulating (Ethicon Endosurgery, USA). Bowel perfusion was assessed with the STRYKER Pinpoint endoscope to perform ICG-enhanced fluorescence angiography. An isoperistaltic intracorporeal side-to-side anastomosis was performed with a 60 mm blue-load Echelon Flex endostapler (Ethicon Endosurgery, USA). The common enterotomy site was handsewn using a 3/0 Medtronic V-Loc barbed suture. - There were no intraoperative complications - The postoperative course was uneventful - The patient was discharged in day 7 after surgery Pathology revealed: pT3, pN1 (1/20), L1, V0, G2, R0 |
