| Video Discription | Jai Hind Doston, Our guest in this podcast is a Kalaripayattu Master. He has been practicing Kalaripayattu Martial Arts since last 14 years. He has trained for ten thousand hours during his initiation days under the guidance of his Gurus at Maruthi Marma Kalari Sangam. His name is Master Arpit Singh. Although he is born in Lucknow, his fate made him meet his Guru while he was in Kolkata who then took him to Kerala and rest as they say is pure history. Master Arpit emphasized on how his teaching course helps him to be the honest student first. He remembered his Guru's lines that to be a good teacher, he needs to remain a good student and a learner. He explained the various martial arts form which have their roots in Kalaripayattu. He also spoke about the different types of weapons which are used during the training days. Further, he spoke about a key topic of Women's safety in urban cities where the graph of crimes against women has been climbing new heights almost every single day. He ushered the importance of self defence to be taught in schools and colleges.
