| Video Discription | The full (and quite rare) movie "Armed Response". A low budget action-thriller from the mid 80s. This is probably one of the rarest Betamax tapes that I have come across. I used my Sony SL-HF100, one of the only Beta Hi-Fi machines released in Australia, to rip this one. Youtube makes it look and sound terrible, but I guarantee that it looks a lot better on the original tape. Feel free to message me for the original quality recording. The critics of the time called this movie mediocre and generic, but I think it's safe to say that it may have evolved into a cult classic by today's standards. The soundtrack is especially good. I think this is probably one of the most 80s movies ever! Some big names appear in this film, such as Lee Van Cleef, who died just three years after this movie was released. I don't think that he would have wanted to be remembered as an actor in this film, especially since they use assault-type weapons (and GRENADES!!???) in the center of a town and are never once questioned by the police. Anyhoo, who cares about the opinion of one man about a movie? |
