Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/maatusrecipes Instagram link: https://www.instagram.com/invites/contact/?i=me3dyi4p383e&utm_content=ngrm93k You will need: Sugar: 1 cup Rice flour: 1 cup Cardamom powder: ½ tsp Ghee: ¼ tsp Preparation: In a pan, add water (1 and ¼ cup), sugar (1 cup), ghee (1/4 tsp), cardamom powder (1/2 tsp) Stir continuously Let the sugar dissolve completely and come to boil Add rice flour (1 cup) and stir continuously Make sure no lumps are formed Cook till rice flour absorbs water and forms a dough Remove from flame Spread the rice flour dough evenly on a plate Keep it aside to cool to room temperature **** Apply ghee to your palms and knead the dough Apply ghee to both the palms, take a small portion of the dough Make them into round shape Place them on the left palm and gently flatten slightly with the right palm Slide the discs into hot oil Repeat the process with rest of the dough Deep fry in medium flame till golden and crispy Flip intermittently for even frying Transfer with ladle and drain excess oil Transfer to a serving bowl Appalu re ready |
