The special offer found through an incognito browser is 45,000 MR Points plus a $100 credit for Away Luggage.
It only makes sense for someone to get this card if they already pay out of pocket for the annual cost of CLEAR membership.
https://www.clearme.com/
"CLEAR uses your eyes and fingerprints to confirm your identity - helping you breeze through airports, stadiums and more."
The problem is that membership is only for one year and it costs $175. It is also only available right now at 18 airports. This makes this $100 credit nearly useless.
The other $100 credit is for LoungeBuddy.
https://www.loungebuddy.com/
LoungeBuddy allows people to purchase airport lounge access worldwide starting at $25. Once again, this credit is useless because I already have Priority Pass Lounge Access through my Chase Sapphire Reserve and my American Express Platinum. Even if someone did not, nobody should be paying these prices for single entry tickets to overpriced airport lounges. I really only value this credit at $40.
Because American Express offers other card that earn cashback and membership reward points with no annual fees, the 3x multiplier on dining and travel only net earns 1x, meaning someone needs to spend over $15,000 in those categories before the card returns a positive value to the user.
In my opinion, this is not a keeper card. The AmEx Gold and AmEx Platinum offer better multipliers and credits to offset their annual fees.
If you are looking to obtain any of these cards, consider using my referral link. Or use someone else's. Doesn't really matter, lol.
