| Video Discription | I conduct a second amendment audit with a loaded CMMG 9 mm AR pistol. This is the reaction of the Edmond Police Department. I lay the fault with dispatch. Dispatch needs to find out if the call pertains to an active crime or just somebody exercising their second amendment rights. I'll give the officers a little more info or leniency then normal as this is their first contact with someone legally carrying an AR-15 platform firearm. On Nov 1 it becomes legal for any qualifying citizen to carry one without a permit in Oklahoma. In my opinion the officers did great. They obviously were not familiar AR style pistols and will keep this in mind in the future.. I will be following up in the future. |
