| Video Discription | Former president Jacob Zuma is not eligible to stand for this month's elections. This after the Constitutional Court overturned the order of the Electoral Court that found that his sentence and conviction was not a sentence and conviction as envisaged in a section of the Constitution. The apex court has found that the Zuma will only be eligible to stand after five years have lapsed following the completion of his sentence. The section declares as ineligible any person that was convicted of an offence and sentenced to more than 12-months imprisonment without the option of a fine.
