| Video Discription | Gujarati style Khichiya Papad : Even those who are used to buying from the neighborhood store will now shift to homemade ones after they try this easy rice khichiya papad recipe First I made the small batch around 30 papas after asking the recipe tony mom and I thought it was too easy as I was using Kitchen Aid stand mixture to knead the dough and tortilla maker to roll (press) the papad. So the followed week, I started second batch and they came out absolutely amazing. I feel like I became expert now as I have proper measurement and experience for making perfect papad. Full recipe is on @nidhicooksofficial and the link is in bio (Its a Ragi papad recipe so just use rice flour instead of Ragi and rest of the recipe is same). Ingredients: 3 cups Rice Flour 7.5 cups of water ( flour :water ratio 1: 2.5 ) 1 tbsp Sesame seeds 1/2 tbsp Ajwain (Carom seeds) and Cumin seeds 1 tbsp Papapd Kharo finely crushed green Chilis salt to taste Oil as required Method: . Heat 7.5 cups water in a pan. . Add asafetida, sesame, carom seeds, green chilis in simmering water . When mixture starts boiling add flour . Mix it properly to avoid lumps. . Transfer this mixture in a steamer plate. . Cover with lid and allow to steam the dough for ~15 mins on high flame. . After 15 minutes dough get properly steamed ,switch off flame. . Knead this steamed dough until turns smooth I used kitchen aid stand mixer to knead the dough. . Grease 2 plastic sheets with oil . place steamed dough in between them and roll it with roller pin. . Release papad from plastic sheet and transfer it on plastic tarp or cloth. . You can also use papad press machine to prepare papad. . Release papad from plate and transfer it on cloth. . Allow to dry all papads completely for 1-2 days in sunlight. . When sundried completely store papad in dry airtight container for 1 -2 years. . Enjoy papad whenever wish by just frying it in hot oil. or you can roast it directly on flame or in Microwave.
