Today we’re going to show you how to install a TV mount. This is the Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount Bracket. It is designed for TV’s between 17 and 55 inches and can support up to 77 pounds. Included with the bracket is all the hardware you will need to complete installation. As a quick overview on the hardware, the bracket includes various styles of mounting screws for different size TV thread patterns. Washers. Mounting Bolts. Plastic Spacers for TV’s with shallow screw holes. Concrete Anchors, if mounting into concrete or brick walls. And a clip on bubble level. There are also some small screws, washers, and nuts for to attach the bracket arms to the mounting plate. The tools needed for installation are: A pencil, a ratchet with a 13mm socket, a Philips head screwdriver, a drill with a ¼” drill bit, and a socket adapter if available, in which case you can use the drill for many of the steps. And a stud finder. Before getting started, we need to check the VESA pattern of the TV The VESA pattern is the distance between the screw holes on the back of your TV, which is measured in millimeters. The measurement for our TV today is 400 millimeters tall and 400 millimeters wide. This means that the TV has a VESA pattern of 400 by 400. Please make sure that your TV does not exceed the maximum VESA pattern supported by the bracket. Typically, you can find out the TV’s VESA pattern by checking the owner’s manual, but if that’s not the case or if that’s not an option for you, you can always break out the measuring tape and measure it yourself. Start by attaching the arms onto the back of the TV and lining up the screw holes. Insert a mounting screw into a washer and hand tighten onto the arms. Finish tightening using the screwdriver. Repeat this step for the other mounting arm. Now it’s time to attach the mounting arms onto the mounting plate. Place the arms onto the mounting plate. Insert the mounting screw into a washer and insert through the mounting arms. Then hand tighten the mounting nuts. Repeat this step for the other arm. Finally, using a screwdriver and ratchet, finish tightening the nuts. Using a stud finder, locate and mark the stud you want to mount the bracket onto. Drill the first pilot hole. Insert a washer onto a mounting bolt and install using the ratchet or drill. Using the level, mark the stud for a second pilot hole. Drill a second pilot hole. Insert another washer onto a mounting bolt and begin hand tightening. Finish tightening using the drill. Repeat these steps for the remaining mounting point. Now we are ready to mount the TV onto the bracket. Make sure the arms on the TV are able to catch onto the bracket. Then, using your screwdriver, tighten the locking screws from underneath the TV. The bracket features small cable managers to easily route and hide your cables. The bracket also features a 19.5 inch swing arm and when complete, the articulating mount should have a full range of motion for maximum viewing pleasure.
